Synergy Slam Poets Soil & EARTH And TREES
Hybrid Online Workshop Programs!
On Thursday 3rd October, National poetry Day,
we will be launching the rolling recorded program.
This is a hybrid course of recorded audio, video and written writing prompt that is divided up into 4 weeks’ worth of visual interactive activities.
We had 8 great weeks of workshops hosted by Poets Built It Online Community, looking into Writing the Synergy of the natural world and the city, and “how human-engineered environments and natural ecosystems coexist”

Week 1 is a foundational introduction to writing the synergy of the city.

WEEK 2 OF THE SOIL & EARTH PROGRAM, we explored the symbolism and myth of soil and the land, such as Japanese deity ‘Inari’, Norse Goddess,’Fjörgen’ and Orisha of abundance and agriculture, ‘Oko’.
WEEK 2 OF THE TREES PROGRAM Branching out module we looked at the confluence, the synergy of myth and science of trees, and was astounded by the similarities of the cellular structure of trees, plant life and humans
WEEK 3 of both programs, we unpacked the genre of Eco-Poetry and how we write about our home careering at 107,000 kilometers per hour through space.
WEEK 4 we looked at some tips and techniques for making the most of your poetry spoken word performances online.

As Eco-issues have become increasingly concerning, are poets part of the new generation of makes in language for new Eco-Poetics? A new lexicon for the 21st Century?
